The Vassar Research Team celebrated a major publishing milestone in December 2018 with a Golden Pen Party. Team members Cole Wayant and Jared Scott were invited to sign the Vassar Research Team logo board with gold ink to mark the publishing of their article “Evaluation of Lowering the P Value Threshold for Statistical Significance from .05 to .005 in Previously Published Randomized Clinical Trials in Major Medical Journals” in JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association). Vassar Research Team members each sign their name in black ink or add a tick mark to their name when one of their research studies is published. Gold ink is reserved for use only when a study is published in a top 5 general medical journal like the NEJM (New England Journal of Medicine), JAMA, BMJ (British Medical Journal), Annals of Internal Medicine, or The Lancet.
