I am Dr. Vassar’s Ph.D. student. My research interests focus on the dissemination of health information on social media and the effects of adverse childhood experiences on alcohol use and abuse. I am also interested in meta-research, the academic study of research. To date, I have 4 peer reviewed publications in high profile journals like Obstetrics & Gynecology and BMJ Evidence-Based Medicine. I was selected as a scholarship recipient for the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences.
I feel fortunate to be part of a team that embraces the value of relationships over research outcomes. The Vassar Team is my second family and that makes our work environment an easy place to thrive. I am a lifelong Tulsan who loves movies, sports, and trail running. Although I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner), I have seen the light, and fully embraced OSU and America’s Brightest Orange.
